Street Painting Workshops

Every first Saturday morning from 9-11am, May – September, 2017

 

The Goal of the workshop is to bring awareness of the art form of Street Painting to the Omaha Metro area by encouraging the engagement of local artist. Therefore, creating a foundation of artists that would find an interest to participate in future Street Painting Festivals and competitions in the local and broad areas throughout.

Workshop description:

You will be given an overview of the internationally recognized art form of the historical “Madonnari”, street painters or Street Chalk Artists. We will talk about the history of the art style, learn how to make some chalk, learn techniques that work for different street textures, traditional and 3-D styles and festival expectations.
