Bancroft Street Market presents its first Italian Renaissance Art Festival on Saturday September 16th, 2017 from 10AM to 8PM.
Outside, in the Festival area, Madonanari painters will recreate several famous art works from the Italian Renaissance period, in chalk, on the pavement. Chalking will begin at 10: 00 AM
Indoors, at 2:00 PM, The Canterbury Singers, madrigal singers will present a program. The program is free.
At 4;00 PM stories written by Giovanni Boccaccio, from his most famous work, “Decameron”. The program is free.
At 6:00 PM Sweet Accordes, a trio of two lutes, played by George Moss and Al William, and singer Ann Biswell, voice, will present a program. Admission for that program is $5.00 at the door.
